Education
In the Bachelor program, CAAD gives an introduction to information-technologies as compulsory course for all architectural students. The pragmatic use of different digital media is brought up for discussion, practiced and theoretically put into context. Starting from the third year, CAAD offers elective courses (WF) in which computer employment in architecture will be treated in a deeper and broader manner.’ CAAD-Praxis’ particularly treats topics of parametric design as well as computer-controlled production. ‘CAAD-Theorie’ puts the new possibilities of the information technologies into context either methodically or historically. With the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) CAAD offers a one-year fulltime postgraduate course held in English. In this program the practical tools and the theoretical apparatus for a fully digitized architectural practice are intensively taught from parametric-planning to computer-aided production (digital chain).
